Pixelling tutorial Tips etc.

Hellou! This is my pixelling tutorials last part. Tips etc.
Here I give you some useful tips which help you to pixel faster, better and easier. ^^ I don't say that I'm some kind of pixelling professional I just want to share all things that I've learned. Hopely I can help you and if I don't hopely you even had fun reading this. :D (me loves to read tutorials <33 )

Tip 1 clean pixels

Clean pixels are the whole pixelling's base. Let me show.

In this example you can see line drawed in two different ways. In upper line pixels keep up same model. Two pixel, square up, two pixels, square up and so on. It looks like more better than the other one which has no model.

In this example is two circles. The upper one is much cleaner cause every quarter is symmetric.

Now we can see that it's quite important to always clean up your sketch before coloring it. The lower one looks much messier than the upper one which has cleaned lines. This more important when you let outlines black. :)

Tip 2 shading

In my opinion shading is maybe the hardest part in pixelling along with textures. Here's couple of tips.

Here we can see very common mistake that people do. Light comes very very rarely from straight towards. Do not use this. I warmly recommend you to pixel the light coming from some corner or side of your pixel. ;] t

Okay here we can see two different shades. In the upper one shades and midtones are all same color only rate of darkness is different. This is a good, nice and easy way of shading but sometimes the lower one works better than the upper one. That's because of I turned the shade colour a little bit more red and midtones a little bit more yellow. But it of course depends what you're pixelling what ever looks good. :)

In this example is two objects that are shaded in two different ways. Upper one is good 'normal' shading that works very well and its quite quick too. In that lower one has more exact shading. I call it 'orange shade' cause it works very nicely in citrus fruits texture and shading. :D It consists like small chess figures. It's lenghty and boring to do but sometimes it's really worth of it.
